After a period in the trenches at Festubert towards the end of December, 1914, the 8th Hussars of the Ambala Cavalry brigade in the India Corps, moved back from the front line and spent most of January, 1915 training. On 5th January Henry Haliday was accidentally shot in the head and died from his wounds on 11th January. |
